Kathrine Leigh Holley
Bio:
I was constantly doodling on my school papers, so my parents found an eccentric art teacher for me when I was twelve. I fell deeply in love with oil painting and have been pursuing fine arts ever since. I attended Columbus College of Art and Design for three years, which was a wonderful experience. I am grateful to be building my career around my family, and aim to paint (nearly) every evening after my kids are in bed.
Artist statement:
My work focuses on a variety of subjects, but I am always drawn to the quiet beauty of everyday life, and the beautiful melancholy atmosphere so abundant here in the Pacific Northwest.
