Sara Jacobson

Posted by Doug Paradis on

Sara Jacobson (known to friends also as SayJay) lives and works in Edison, Washington. She spends her time sharpening skills in multiple disciplines including painting, drawing, pottery, woodworking, music, language and textiles. A lifelong family connection facilitated her exposure to the Northwest as she grew up in Berkeley, California. She was involved in the visual and performing arts throughout her schooling, and started college at the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Massachusetts, but left after one year to pursue academics at UC Santa Cruz. She eventually found a home in Washington, and has been deepening her art practice and her connection to the land over the last nine years. She is pleased to be embarking on a new and more contemplative phase of object making; one in observation of nature, humanity and the work of honoring life.
