WILL BOSWELL
Will Boswell has been working with his hands since childhood, first through woodworking and later through painting. What began at age ten in a school shop—building everything from sailboats to furniture—grew into a lifelong passion for craftsmanship.
As he turned sixty, Boswell shifted from woodworking to painting, studying the techniques of artists he admired, including Russell Chatham, Claude Monet, and Maynard Dixon. Time spent in Chatham’s studio was especially formative, shaping both his approach to painting and to frame-making.
Today, Boswell continues to merge these two practices. Each of his paintings is paired with a handcrafted frame, designed to enhance the work without distraction—an ongoing conversation between painting and woodworking that defines his art.
