I am deeply touched by the fascinating, natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. A transplant from the Midwest long ago, I spend much of my free time exploring the forests, mountains, and coastal regions that continue to leave me in awe. I seek places of solitude, where the only sounds are those that rise from the earth and atmosphere. I paint from my experience and feelings inspired by this wonderous region, creating atmospheric and abstract landscapes in oil, using pallet knives as my primary tool to begin my expression.
I graduated from university with a BA in literature and writing. Years later, I grew passionate about photography, which served as a basis for my migration to another form of expression with painting. My love for literature combined with pictorial composition translate into painting visual poetry.
