Craig Breitbach
As a sculptor, my lifetime love of the outdoors and wildlife is evident in my work. I have fished, hiked, biked, and camped my whole life, which instilled a deep appreciation for the natural world. I am particularly drawn to raw materials, such as stone and wood, and I love working with my hands to create beautiful and meaningful art.
The challenge and presence of creating large public sculptures excite me from both the artistic and technical aspects. I believe art should be accessible to everyone, so sharing my work in public places is important to me. It’s rewarding when an audience wants to touch my sculptures, as it is a testament to the tactile beauty that I have been able to create from the rough elements.
My interest in the outdoors and my genuine excitement for natural materials is at the core of my art. I take great pleasure in creating something from the earth, and my work is a way to express my connection to nature and the environment. The beauty of the natural world constantly inspires me, and I strive to create sculptures that evoke enthusiasm and inspiration in others.
