This body of work came about, as it usually does, from the shenanigans happening in my garden. I have had an owl roosting in a stand of for trees off and for many years. He/she manages to fill the nighttime quiet with its woeful hooting and consistently brings a smile to my face, I am honored to have such a critter grace me with its song.

As for the crows. These clever birds are in the garden regularly,  dropping all sorts of goodies in bird baths I built years ago…never thought I’d see that happening. Their intelligence, tenacity and out-right thuggery is endlessly entertaining. Although the half- eaten ham sandwich and then a chicken bone floating in the water was a bit over the top.

So goes my life.
