CARRIE LOEB | ED NORDIN

February 29 - March 31, 2024

Artist Reception:

Saturday, March 2, 2024 3-5 pm

Smith and Vallee Gallery is thrilled to present the awe-inspiring paintings of Carrie Loeb and the striking sculpture work of Ed Nordin. Loeb's ethereal paintings showcase the mesmerizing waters of the pacific Northwest, with delicately painted brushstrokes capturing the movement and fluidity of the environment. Her use of soft, muted colors adds to the dreamy and serene quality of the pieces, transporting the viewer to a place of tranquility.

Nordin's sculptures are bold and impactful. The use of mixed media gives dimension and texture to the works, and the rawness of the materials used adds to their rugged aesthetic. The gravity-defying sculptures capture a sense of motion and tension, drawing the viewer in and inviting them to explore the intricacies of each piece.

Together, Loeb's paintings and Nordin's sculptures showcase the diverse beauty of the Pacific Northwest, each in their own unique way
